Europe and Africa have been seperated by the Strait of Gibraltar for millions of years. The only way to get there was either using a boat or a plane. But soon starting in 2008 a tunnel will start to be constructed connecting Africa and Europe through a railway beneath the Strait of Gibraltar. It will start from Spain and go to Morocco. It will be 300m deep(1000ft) and have a length of 38,670m.
